On Our Doorstep
As a child I lived in the countryside and never thought I would migrate to the town, but since moving to Ipswich 10 years ago I have realised that you can have the best of both worlds right on your doorstep. From our house we can be in one of three beautiful parks.
The photo above and below is the closest know as Holywells Park
It has been lovely to spend some weekend afternoons strolling around the park enjoying the change to autumn, collecting conkers, horse chestnuts and laughing at the squirrels all trying to hide as much food as they can for winter. The park is equally as beautiful now as it was in the summer where we enjoyed picnics and music days. This park gives us a little bit of tranquility in an ever growing town. There is even a cute cafe called the stables where you can grab a cup of coffee.
We also have access to the most beautiful coastline nearby which offers lots of opportunities to explore and hike. I was lucky enough to get to visit SNAPE MALTINGS with some of my female friends at the weekend. We got to walk all the way along the river, enjoying the autumn sun and beautiful surroundings before enjoying a yummy meal at the Plough and Sail.
