Nacton Shore Walks
In my last post I started to talk about some of the beautiful coast line we have on our doorstep. The photos today show a small glimmer of what we get to appreciate and enjoy.
Nacton Shores is a section of coastline you can access from a number of trails from a small car park. It is the perfect set up for trail running, but until ankle is stronger walking is the way forward.
For October we were exceptionally lucky to have such amazing weather. The heat from the sun hit the beach and made our walk super cosy. Perfect weather to be shining down on the autumnal leaves. Loved how the orange and red leaves on this tree stand out brightly against the balance of scenery.
Once you have meandered through the woods and met the beach you can walk along the Orwell River all the way to the Orwell Bridge. The tide is out in this picture, but the water can come all the way up the beach so it is important to check the tides before embarking on a walk down here. If you time it wrong you can end up with very soggy feet.
Our adventure today involved a number of our friends and their families. The woods to the right have millions of little hiding holes, secret pathways and fallen trees which provided lots of fun for the children (and the adults who are really just big kids). You will be glad to know though - that despite hunting for the gruffalo we all safely made it back to the carpark without any encounters with the monsters.
